Fresno Sheriff Memorial Foundation – Sandscape Refined (SSR)

The Sheriff Memorial project presented unique challenges due to the highly detailed finish requirements and exacting standards of the design intent. Multiple samples were created to establish the precise color, aggregate, and texture of the concrete. Concrete placement took place during one of the hottest periods of the year, making the timing and application of the Bomanite Sandscape Refined slurry topping critical to achieving a uniform finish that matched the approved sample.

Additional complexity was introduced by the site’s limited access points, and the need to protect existing olive trees already in place, all of which required careful coordination and execution.

Through detailed planning, thorough preparation, and an experienced crew, the concrete was successfully installed in a single continuous pour, ensuring visual consistency across the primary focal areas of the project.

The completed installation received widespread recognition for its craftsmanship, with the finished work standing out for its exceptional quality and refined execution.
