Moonlight Packing

The Moonlight project was uniquely complex, centered around a structural foundation of cut, welded, and interlocking shipping containers stacked to form a new office space. This layered combination of steel and concrete introduced unique installation challenges that required careful material selection and execution.

The project transitioned from a traditional cement based Bomanite Modena system to the Bomanite Modena TGE Epoxy Terrazzo System. Knowledge gained from previous Modena installations, along with specialized training, was applied throughout the process, with particular emphasis during surface preparation.

The mixing, placement, and polishing processes closely followed traditional Modena techniques, while the use of a lightweight power trowel helped achieve a flatter surface and more consistent aggregate exposure during polishing.

The completed floor demonstrates a balance of technical precision and material expertise, resulting in a high quality terrazzo surface that has become a defining architectural element within the space.
